New Brunswick to Hold Food Security Forum

On December 11, New Brunswick will be hosting a free community Food Security Forum at New Brunswick High School. This amazing event will discuss the opportunities and challenges for a strong local food system in New Brunswick. Among the topics to be discussed are school lunches, supermarkets, community gardens, food pantries, soup kitchens, farmers markets, local farms, restaurants, and food stamps. Lunch will be provided at the event, which will include speakers and workshops and focus on how to extend access to nutritious, affordable food to all residents.

Mark Winne, author of "Closing the Food Gap" and "Food Rebels" and long-time food and hunger activist will be a keynote speaker at the event.
